Klaus took point as the group walked up to the red church gates. The Mayor and Bernie were behind the group trying to stay out of harms way. The thick dense fog engulfed the church courtyard, but parted around the group. As the group decided where to go a man approached them. His mouth was stained red, his pants were tattered, and he reeked of body odor, urine, and who knows what else. He approached and said, “It is you. We have been waiting for you to come and here you are.”
Confused Klaus said, “Who do you think that I am?”
The strange man said, “You are the Acolyte. You must see Piss. Come this way O Acolyte.”
Klaus looked at the group, shrugged his shoulders and proceeded to follow the strange man. The group entered the church and as I approached the man named ‘Piss’ he fell on his knees and said, “ O Acolyte. He said you would come. Who is this with you?”
Klaus said hesitantly, “These are my followers.”
Piss howls at the sky and twitches, his body contorted and he pissed himself. I guess that’s where he got his name. He also reeked a great deal worse than the previous strange man. His mouth was stained with blood as well.
Klaus broke the silence by saying, “Who told you I was coming.”
Piss stopped contorting himself, got up and came over to Klaus and licked the blood on his duster that was stained from carrying the Waltzer’s headless corpse in his duster.
Piss jumped back from Klaus and him how do you know this man.
“He is my friend.”
Piss then turned to Lelo and said, “How do you know the Acolyte?”
“He is my friend.”
Piss said, “Bring him forth.”
Before anyone of us could react four men that resembled Piss and the strange men picked up Lelo and brought him to Piss. Klaus and the group then realized that they were surrounded by, skinny cannibals.
As Lelo was put in front of Piss he said, “We’re best friends.”
Klaus said, “Yeah.”
Piss said to Lelo, “Do you know he would said he would come?”
Lelo said, “Yes.”
“So you know the orange man.”
Klaus was beside himself; he thought he heard Piss say the orange man. There was only one orange man that had dealing with the Red Church, Eugene Gumble.
Piss broke Klaus’ thought by saying, “What do you want O Acolyte?”
Klaus thought and said, “ My followers and I would like to see the treasures.”
Piss smiled and said, “Come, come and see the orange man.”
Piss led Klaus and the group out of the church and to a building with the word ‘Piss’ written in some sort of green and brown paint. Klaus thought most likely blood.
As Klaus was outside the door he asked Piss, “Can my followers come with me?”
“No.”
Patrick and Marcus moved towards Klaus and Lelo wanting to go into the building, but they were held back Red Church Members. Marcus broke free of the members holding her and she joined Klaus and Lelo. Patrick tried to do the same, but Piss hissed at him and the members that were holding Patrick put their teeth on his shoulders. Patrick looked uncomfortable and he hit the guards in a panic moment. One of the members said, “He tastes unholy.” There was a very small scrape mark on Patrick’s shoulder from the member’s teeth on him. They must of scraped Patrick as he hit the member off.
Klaus knew Patrick couldn’t come with the group so he told Piss, “Patrick shall not be harmed.”
Piss said back, “Patrick shall not be harmed.”
As Klaus, Lelo, and Marcus entered the building, Patrick, Bernie, and the Mayor were left outside. The building was dimly lit on the inside and there was some faint music playing. Klaus thought it sounded familiar. Klaus’ hate and anger began to grow when he realized the music playing was the same music that was on the train when he had to kill Curtis the Guerilla. It all pointed back to Gumble, that crazy son of a bitch. Klaus had the opportunity to kill Gumble, but he did not, he let him go and now he has to deal with this shit. Klaus and the group followed Piss down the metal spiral stairs. As Klaus, Lelo, and Marcus got down the stairs, Piss was standing in the shadow and there was a dead man in a chair in the center of the room. The group approached the corpse and they realized that was the corpse of Matthew Crowly. The man they were supposed to kill, sat dead before them. The groups struggle was for nothing. Klaus noticed there was a room to the right so he walked into the room. It was dimly lit with a huge heap of trash and garbage on the back of the room and in the center was Bob Vister, leader of the Fighting Phils, tied up and Eugene Gumble standing next to him.
Gumble had a huge smile and said, “Hey buddy boy’s welcome back.”
Klaus answered back, “What’s going on Mr. Gumble?”
“Oh not much, you see got Matthew Crowley for you. I’ll even let you take the credit. You got what you wanted.”
Klaus asked, ”What do you want?”
“Nothing. Nothing. Nothing at all.”
“Well can we leave?”
“Well, no. You see I don’t want you to go. I want only one thing. I want to eat an acolyte.”
Klaus knew he had to kill Gumble now. As Gumble was talking an arrow shot through Piss head and he flopped over. Patrick emerged as Piss stopped twitching. Klaus drew his gun to shoot at Gumble, but before he missed. Gumble, picked up two guns and started shooting at anything that moved and ran to Bob Vister. Klaus put his pistol away and drew his crossbow. Both Patrick and Klaus had their sight on Gumble as he was cowering behind Vister.
Gumble said, “Seems like we have an old fashioned Mexican standoff.”
Confused Klaus said, “Who do you think that I am?”
